Hello! My name is Dr. Amanda Galliton.
With a background in organizational leadership, learning technologies, and education, I’m dedicated to helping students navigate the academic world while celebrating the diversity of experiences they bring to the classroom. As an educator at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, I focus on fostering interactive learning environments through engaging activities like scavenger hunts and discussion posts.
In addition to my work as an instructor, I have held leadership roles in various educational organizations, including the Texas Library Association and Texas Association of School Librarians. I’m committed to advancing the field of education by supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity and representation in schools and libraries.
I’m also passionate about young adult literature and the unique perspectives it offers, especially within the context of middle school and high school education. I believe in the power of libraries and literature to shape students' futures, and I strive to make those resources accessible and engaging.
